Ok, ok so obviously I have yet to post the second video from my trip to Atlanta for the Passion Conference. In my defense, that is because I have been deathly ill this week.
I probably wouldn't have died, but in my over-dramatic mind, it sure felt like I might have.
So, maybe I'll post a follow-up video soon.
Maybe not.
Who knows.
Honestly, I'm terrible at committing myself to something and following through most of the time.
Which isn't a great quality, I'm aware.
I just try to remind myself that I'll get better.
Anyways, this morning I had plans to get up, clean my room up because it looks like the tornado from The Wizard of Oz came through it, do my large pile of laundry, and attempt to clear out the mess in my vehicle.
None of that has happened thus far.
It is 11:25am.
So what did I do instead?
Oh, I finally sat down to read Mindy Kaling's book.
Let me just say that I wish we were friends.
Like if I knew where to find her, I would be one of those creepy stalker people you hear about on television.
Of course I wouldn't be arrested or charged for anything.
Because she would find me in her house, probably in her library (I'm not sure if she has one, but I'm assuming), we would start talking, make jokes about our weight and how we will never be skinny, and become the best of friends that I knew we would always be.
Yes, that is how it would go.
Afterwards, we would make arrangements to meet for dinner where she would introduce me to Zooey Deschanel.
But for now, I have to go into town with one of my "real-life" friends.
Then, I will come home and clean.
Maybe...or nap.
It's raining outside, I don't have to work, and that basically means I should nap all day.
Oh, and then I'm meeting friends to go watch 'Pitch Perfect' at their house.
If you haven't seen that movie, then get off the computer now, go to RedBox (or wherever you rent movies), rent it, and then get ready to laugh so hard you'll cry.
I'm serious.
You can thank me later.
Happy weekend, friends.
much love,
colie.

Six years.
2/15/2012
The other day, I was driving in my
car, when The Fray came on the radio.
Do you see what I mean?!
Aw.
During that six year journey, we were all just as 'lost' as the characters.
I think that is what kept us rushing home from work or school each week to see what happened.
So, basically I think that there should be some kind of weekly 'LOST', "re-watch all the seasons", because it is so awesome thing going on!
Who is with me?! ;)
Remember the song, "You Found
Me"?
Well, if you don't then I'm about to
refresh your memory. ;)
The first
thing I thought of was the show 'LOST'.
They used that song for the Season 6
promo.
So, I woke up this morning and
decided to watch it.
Goodness, I have missed that show!
I'm serious.
Many of us, including myself, could
say that it didn't end the best after being devoted to it for six years.
However, the story was absolutely
amazing!
I watched the music video and found
myself rooting for them all over again, wanting to tear up because I knew the
outcome, and happy knowing that Benjamin Linus wasn't as bad as he was in the
beginning.
Yes, yes ... it may be a bit much.
I'm sorry.
The same thing happens when I read an
amazing book or see a great movie.
I kind of get wrapped up into their
reality & feel like I know all the characters personally.
Sad, but so very true. Do you see what I mean?!

Oh, the choices! :D
2/10/2012
When I was in jr high and high school, I would hardly EVER wear a dress.
I did not like them at all.
Life is a funny thing, though.
The older I get, the more I realize this simple fact.
Because now I absolutely LOVE dresses!! :)
I would wear them all the time, during every season, if I could.
Sadly, I can't, but any time I get the chance to try one on, it makes me so happy!
Last weekend I got to go to Target and boy-oh-boy they had some cute dresses.
**seriously, they did. Go see. & then buy one, or maybe two. ;)
Ok, ok ... so I tried on these three:
& to be honest ...
I wanted ALL three of them.
I really did.
Cute, right?! -- not necessarily cheap though.
$25 + tax a pop! Geez.
In the end, the price counts folks.
--> This is why vintage clothing found at consignment shops suit me better. ;)
I saw this dress on the rack and INSTANTLY fell in love.
I'm serious.
Sparks flew, people.
It is simple and I loved it!!
However, there was only one left and it was a size large.
It didn't fit well, so it was a no-go! :(
So, then I tried on this lovely.
Aw. -- I tell ya, I didn't really think it was all that cute on the rack.
It was kinda like, "Ah. It might work. I'll give it a try."
I tired it on and guess what?
I loved it, of course. ;)
The color is so pretty & the polka dots were actually a lot of fun.
The ONLY reason I didn't choose this one was because I would have to wear a strapless bra with it.
I hate those things. :/
However, I guess I could have bought a cute cardigan to go over it.
A girl can never have too many cardigan's! ;)
Finally, after much debate with myself, I decided on this one:
I absolutely love the colors!
It is so much fun & definitely a dress for Spring time, folks.
**hint, hint ... meaning Spring needs to get here. Fast. -- or NOW! ;)
The best part about this dress was that it was comfortable!!
I didn't feel like I had to fix anything about it.
I wasn't too big or too tight!
It was just about perfect for me. :)
I hope you all enjoyed my silly adventure in trying to find a dress.
Now go drink some coffee, snuggle up in a blanket, and read a book before starting your day! I promise it will make you happy. :)
Happy, Happy Friday!
much love.
Photo Challenge V.2
2/02/2012
Hello, hello!!
Remember these photos I posted a couple weeks back?
Well, now I am going to finish up the last few photos I had from January's Photo a Day Challenge.
Yippy! :)
I definitely enjoy taking random photos, but it was a challenge to get one for every single day this month.
Plus, I was a day or two late on some of them so I would wind up posting like three in one day! ha.
It was so much fun, though!
February has already arrived, and a new challenge is already going on.
My goal is to post one every day, on time, without missing a day! *fingers crossed*
I look forward to sharing them all with you soon!
For now, please enjoy the last few from January! :)
(ps. I'm certain I am even more in love with instagram. yikes!!)
This second half starts with Day 16 and goes through Day 31.
Day 16. Morning.
Sandwich, blogging, and coffee. :)
(coffee NOT pictured, but you better believe that I had some, folks!)
Day 17. Water.
My LIFE!!
Day 18. Something you bought.
ANOTHER book! :D
Day 19. Sweet.
Jiminy Cricket just hangs out in my room. ;)
Day 20. Someone you love.
One of my best friends, Kim!
I honestly don't know what I would do w/o her!
(can't wait to see you, kimmie - love you!)
Day 21. Reflection.
Nathan left me a sweet note on my car one day.
I spent the weekend looking over it while he was at drill.
I'm blessed. :)
Day 22. Shoes.
Nathan's ARMY boots.
Day 23. Something old.
Antique shopping!!
Day 24. Guilty Pleasure.
This was suppose to be a photo of the cast of 'Jersey Shore'.
I decided to spare you all. ;)
I went with the new cheesy bread from Domino's instead.
Day 25. Something I made.
PB&J. *delicious*
Day 26. Color.
My favorite turquoise scarf & yummy coffee!
Day 27. Lunch.
I ate my lunch before I could take a photo of it.
So, I snapped one of my pecan coffee that I ate afterwards. ;)
Day 28. Light.
.:[let it shine, no matter how small]:.
Day 29. Inside my fridge.
Technically, this is Nathan & Ben's fridge.
Sad, huh?! ;)
Day 30. Nature.
The view from Nathan's porch.
Day 31.
Me, again.
I had a blast doing this challenge!
I am sure February will be just as fun.
If this something you would like to do, then please start this month. :)
You can do it on instagram, your blog, facebook, twitter, tumblr ... anything, really!
I would love to follow along with all your lovely photos.
Happy Groundhog Day!!
(The weather has been fickle this year, so who knows what will happen.)
much love, colie.
